About Easley Collective

Kerisha Taboh
Founder, CEO, & Instructor

Meet founder Kerisha Taboh (she/her).

During Kerisha’s 15-year web developer career, she has worked on hundreds of projects for digital marketing agencies, corporations, and non-profit organizations. She gained expertise and carved a successful career despite battling the challenges and injustices prevalent in a non-diverse profession.

Kerisha overcame imposter syndrome, misunderstandings, and loneliness to realize that the tech industry was overdue for a transformation. It became her mission to teach code to underrepresented groups.

For ten years, whilst juggling her developer-day job, Kerisha tutored high school, college, and adult bootcamp students to learn how to code to complete assignments and projects or manage their business websites.

The success of these sessions fueled Kerisha to transition her career from a full-time developer to a lead teaching fellow and curriculum specialist at a local bootcamp in Boston Massachusetts. There, she gained experience training adults from Boston’s urban core to become full-stack software developers.

Easley Collective is born out of Kerisha’s teaching and tech expertise combined with her determination to contribute to diversity, inclusion, and representation in the tech industry.
